Tecalemit is a privately-owned Australian company established in 1940. The company manufactures a range of lubrication equipment and centralised lubrication systems at its Adelaide facility and is a leading supplier of RAASM high quality pumps and workshop equipment.
Tecalemit is a name synonymous with lubrication equipment, fluid transfer, fluid measurement and workshop equipment for the automotive, transport, agriculture, industrial and mining industries around the globe. Customers include well-known companies such as Caterpillar Underground, BHP and Rio Tinto.
As well as celebrating 80 years in business this year, Tecalemit is also celebrating the longevity and reliability of the first Mazak the company purchased, and the long term relationship with John Hart.
Nobin Thomas Tecalemit’s Production Supervisor commented: “We bought our first Mazak in 2001, and it’s still going strong today due to the world-class service and spare parts from John Hart.”

This new Mazak was purchased to replace another brand CNC machine which, unlike the Mazak the company purchased in 2001, was struggling to hold tolerances and spare parts were becoming harder to come by.
When questioned about the reasons behind choosing another Mazak, David Livingston Tecalemit’s General Manager explained: “We found our existing Mazak machines to be reliable and accurate over very long periods of continuous production with minimal downtime, and we have been able to depend on John Hart to provide timely service, support and spare parts to suit our demanding production timeframes, so purchasing another Mazak just made sense.”
David concluded: “It is extremely important to ensure Tecalemit can meet our customers’ demands, maintain our world-class reputation and minimise risk to invoke penalty rates. John Hart and Mazak help us to achieve these goals.”
