Amiga Engineering are thrilled to have their new Mazak Integrex i-250H S fully commissioned and they couldn't be more excited to begin machining the very first parts on this state-of-the-art Mazak.

With the Mazak Integrex i-250H S, Amiga say that they're pushing the boundaries of precision CNC machining, offering unparalleled versatility and efficiency for complex projects.

The next generation Mazak Integrex i-250H S enables Amiga to deliver higher quality, precision, and faster turnaround times, ensuring projects meet the highest standards.

The multi-tasking machine delivers the highest level of single-setup part-production versatility of a high-powered turning center and full-function machining center combined.

This machine configuration features a second turning spindle (S) for DONE IN ONE machining, minimizing fixtures, tools, handling and non-cut time.

The Mazak Integrex i-H Series features Mazak’s MAZATROL SmoothAi CNC, the next generation of SMOOTH TECHNOLOGY. In addition to the conversational programming power of MAZATROL, the MAZATROL SmoothAi control leverages the power of artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms to power innovative tools like SMOOTH Ai Spindle, SMOOTH CAM Ai, MAZATROL TWINS and more.

Recent winners of the Endeavour Awards manufacturer of the year, Tullamarine based Amiga Engineering is an Australian manufacturing company offering additive manufacturing, CNC machining, fabrication, industrial gearboxes, and maintenance services.

Since the company was established in 1988, it has been a trusted manufacturer of pipe fittings and flanges, hydrocyclone plates, and various other components for the oil and gas industry.

The company is also the manufacturer of the Australian Genat and Wood gear boxes including helical gear boxes, reducers, surface aerators and mixer gear boxes, as well as the Australian agent for Varmec Gearboxes and Variable Speed Drives.

In the early 2000’s the company diversified, in order to remain relevant in a challenging manufacturing landscape, by moving into additive manufacturing. Today Amiga Engineering is the largest metal and polymer 3D printing service bureau in Australia, and the retailer of the same industrial printers they use in their bureau.

The new Mazak Integrex i-250H S not only delivers new capabilities to Amiga’s CNC machining operations, but also provides a boost to their additive manufacturing operations - redefining the boundaries of manufacturing excellence.

Founder and director Michael Bourchier explained how their CNC manufacturing capability complements additive manufacturing. “3D metal printed requirements will always need extra machining on tight tolerance areas, and that is where our expertise really comes in. A fully versatile CNC machine shop that works with our metal 3D capabilities under one roof is unique. We can ensure the components are printed to the highest quality and then machine them to the exact specifications our clients require.”
