Melvelle Equipment Corp continues their investment programme with the addition of a Mazak Integrex i-450H S.
Following on from the significant investments in world-class manufacturing capability made last year, Newcastle based rail maintenance equipment manufacturer Melvelle Equipment Corp is now implementing the next stage of their planned expansion with further upgrades.
The latest addition is the Mazak Integrex i-450H S Multi-Tasking Center which delivers the highest level of single-setup part-production versatility with the capabilities of a high-powered turning center and full-function machining center combined. This machine features a second turning spindle (S) for DONE IN ONE machining, minimizing fixtures, tools, handling and non-cut time.
The incredible ease of operation of the Mazatrol Smooth CNC control also means the Integrex i-450H S has hit the shop floor running, providing Melvelle with a wide variety of advanced programming functions for complete ease of use and repeatable high-accuracy performance.
The Mazak Integrex i-450H S enclosure, tool magazine and auto jaw changer have all been designed to accommodate a comprehensive range of automation technologies, such as the Agile Modular machine loading system that will partner this machine to improve both the productivity and safety for handling larger components.
