Mazak’s HCN-5000 NEO high-productivity horizontal machining center offers power and performance
The Mazak HCN-5000 NEO horizontal machining center (HMC) provides high-performance productivity and versatile options to produce large, heavy parts from virtually any material. Its highly rigid construction and compensation ensure extended periods of precise machining.
Redesigned for greater efficiency and sustainable high output, the Mazak HCN-5000 NEO features a standard NC rotary table for reduced non-cut time. An optional direct-drive motor rotary table with scale increases high-speed operation efficiency. Additional options include high-rigidity spindles for heavy-duty machining, multiple tool magazine sizes for greater capacity, and automation systems for unattended operations. The machine boosts output and precision, its enhanced energy efficiency improves environmental performance, and its three-point leveling bed simplifies machine installation.
The Mazak HCN-5000 NEO provides a spacious work envelope and a 500 mm x 500 mm standard pallet size to accommodate parts up to Φ800 mm x 1,000 mm. Its fast rapid traverse speed and rigid, reliable spindles support high-output production. The low ground-to-pallet-surface design enhances accessibility for easy setup, with 90° setup station indexing for easy workpiece loading and unloading.
High-speed and high-torque integral motor/spindle types ensure shops can match spindle performance to specific materials, from steel to nonferrous metals. The machine’s ample axis travels measure 730 mm in both X and Y and 800 mm in Z.

Mazak drives results with innovation at DISCOVER 2025
More than 1,800 visitors from across North America joined Mazak for DISCOVER 2025. The event included the broadest machine tool display in the United States and delivered Mazak’s latest innovations to every attendee.
Mazak demonstrated technologies to suit machine shops of all sizes and workflows of all types. On top of having over 30 Mazak machine tools on display with live, real-world cutting demonstrations, Mazak also hosted keynote speakers and panel discussions with insights and advice from industry experts.
From start to finish, DISCOVER 2025 made Mazak the place to be in October 2025.
