John Hart have just taken delivery of a Mazak VCN-600, the very first of the new Mazak VCN BT40 Series in Australia, and it’s going to be on show at Australian Manufacturing Week in Melbourne, May 2023.
The new Mazak VCN-600 is a high rigidity, compact vertical machining center designed for unsurpassed ease of operation, and offers highly precise machining performance along with abundant automation support and impressive environmental performance.
The machine features the largest Y-axis stroke and table size in its class, accommodating large fixtures and workpieces, resulting in high productivity.
The Mazak VCN-600 delivers enhanced cutting performance with a No. 40 spindle speed of 12000 rpm and performs a variety of machining tasks, from powerful cutting of steel materials to high-speed cutting of aluminium using small-diameter tools.
The high-speed tool magazine, which stores 30 tools, not only significantly reduces non-cutting time, but also supports high-mix, low-volume production by allowing the entire process from rough machining to finishing to be completed on a single machine.
