Mazak USA DISCOVER 2023

The largest privately held manufacturing event in North America, Mazak’s DISCOVER 2023, made Mazak the place to be during October 9-13, 2023.

This year's theme was "Learn More. Do More. Make More with Mazak." Every aspect of DISCOVER 2023 was packed with competitive advantages for forward-thinking machine shops: Ways to maximize future opportunities, and conquer new realms of production excellence.

Showcasing 29 Mazak machine tools, the event featured Mazak’s latest innovations and demonstrated technologies to suit machine shops of all sizes and workflows of all types.

Some of these demonstrations have been captured on video:

Mazak Integrex j-200S machining demonstration

Process: Starting from the second spindle heavy milling, drilling, tapping and etching machining   |   Material: Aluminium

The Mazak Integrex j-200S multi-tasking machine brings maximum value, precision and throughput to the production of complex medium-sized workpieces. In fact, it makes use of two turning spindles and a milling spindle to productively process parts complete in single setups.

Mazak Integrex i-100H S machining demonstration

Process: 5-axis simultaneous machining   |   Material: 316 Stainless Steel   |   Application: Medical Industry (Volar Radius Bone Plate)

The Mazak Integrex i-100H S multi-tasking center delivers the highest level of single-setup part-production versatility of a high-powered turning center and full-function machining center combined. This machine configuration features a second turning spindle (S) for DONE IN ONE machining, minimizing fixtures, tools, handling and non-cut time.

Mazak HQR-200MSY machining demonstration

Process: 1st op and 2nd op simultaneously / All turning and milling features / Compressed DONE IN ONE   |   Material: 1045 Steel 2.5in dia bar   |   Application: HVAC / Industrial heat treatment / Furnace flue nozzle

The Mazak HQR-200MSY multi-tasking turning center features a highly productive twin-spindle, twin-turret configuration for unequaled part processing opportunities and high-volume throughput. It machines complex parts complete – from raw material to finished part – in a single setup.

Mazak HCN-4000 NEO machining demonstration

Process: Drilling, facing, angled milling, pocketing, circle milling and threading   |   Material: Aluminium

The next-generation Mazak HCN-4000 NEO horizontal machining center achieves maximum productivity with virtually any type of material. The machine features a spacious work envelope and pallet size as well as a fast rapid traverse speed and rigid, reliable spindles.
