Steelrods Mazak Quick Turn 350MY

The latest addition of a Mazak Quick Turn 350MY x 1250 CNC turning center with multi-tasking capability brings together advanced technology, productivity and value to deliver exceptional performance for Steelrod.

The Mazak Quick Turn 350MY configuration features milling capability and Y-axis functionality along with a standard 12” through-hole chuck package.

The Quick Turn’s rigid machine construction is designed to ensure high precision during heavy-duty machining and high-speed feed-rates. Linear roller guides are utilised on all axes for high-speed, high-rigidity and a long service life.

Thanks to an integral spindle/motor, vibration is minimised during high-speed operation to ensure exceptional surface finishes and maximum tool life. Since no transmission with belts, pulleys or gears is used, the higher efficiency of the integral spindle/motor delivers more power to the tool tip to be used for cutting.

Based in Narangba Queensland, Steelrod is leading specialist engineering supplier to the rail industry, offering a comprehensive range of engineering services that meets the highest level of industry standards in track and signal engineering, CNC machining, fabrication and robotic welding.

Steelrod's modern, state of the art, purpose built facilities include a machining shop stocked with a variety of Mazak lathes and vertical machining centres with twin pallet loading facilities.

An Australian owned, family operated company established in 1974, Steelrod grew by continually investing in modern equipment and staff training to improve manufacturing processes and productivity.
