For the Australian manufacturer, adapting to meet the changing needs of customers and the market is vital to remaining successful. Global financial crises aside, if products and services are not adapted to suit the shifting needs of the marketplace, a business will eventually lose touch with its customers and suffer financially as a result.
Laser Central Pty Ltd is a family owned and operated contract laser cutting facility located in the Brisbane suburb of Richlands. Established in 1998, Laser Central’s key capabilities and activities include flat bed laser processing of sheet material, metal folding and more recently tubular laser processing of large pipe, structural and long product materials including mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
When Brad Drury and James Cao founded New Touch Laser in Bayswater Victoria in 2001, they owned just one laser processing machine, which they operated themselves. Now some five years down the track, New Touch Laser employs thirty staff and operates five laser machines, including a new Mazak U44 Spacegear which was recently installed by John Hart.
