John Hart recently facilitated the purchase and delivery of the very first Mazak QTE series machine in Australia, the Mazak QTE 300MY SG. Boyne Smelters Limited (BSL) located at Boyne Island in Central Queensland took delivery of the Mazak QTE 300MY SG in June 2022.
The Mazak QTE 300MY SG compliments BSL’s recent Mazak MTV-655/60 purchase and will be used to manufacture various components for maintenance of the machinery at the smelter. The equipment is an investment in innovation and modern technology with opportunities for improved efficiencies in production processes.
The Mazak QTE 300MY SG features milling with Y axis, and has been specified with a 1,000mm bed, a parts catcher and equipped with a bar feeder.
The new high-speed, high-accuracy CNC turning centers are the first machines to be equipped with SmoothEz, the latest generation of MAZATROL CNC, which allows for easy setup, programming and operation.
The compact machine, which is manufactured in Mazak’s Singapore factory, is designed to fit into even the smallest machine shop, but with no compromise on power.
The Mazak QTE Series is equipped with a powerful 5,000 rpm built-in spindle motor that is capable of ultra-high-speed acceleration and deceleration delivering high-efficiency, high-accuracy machining.
