The CAD functions of the MAZAK SMART SYSTEM are based on 3D solid modeling. An operator can create a drawing accurately and quickly while viewing the geometry of a part. All operations are possible by selecting and clicking with a mouse, allowing operation even by inexperienced operators. The sophisticated CAM functions of the MAZAK SMART SYSTEM, such as random nesting, nesting in arbitrary shape sheet materials, fully automatic punch determination, and post processor automatically process work that normally can be handled only by skilled operators. The result is a considerable reduction in the time required for machine data preparation.
