Holden Racing Team - JH Technology Partner

To win in today's highly-competitive world of car racing, you need the best drivers, fast cars and understanding sponsors. Two such winners are the result of strong, mutual bond between the Holden Racing Team with a world-class machine tool manufacturer and its Australian agent.

John Hart is proud to continue its ongoing partnership with HRT, a partnership now into it's 9th year. Having first entered into the partnership to begin season 2000, John Hart supplied a new Mazak Integrex 300Y multi-tasking machining centre. HRT followed by purchasing an Integrex 200SY to complement their first machine and a new Mazak Variaxis 630-5axis machining centre. In the past year or so HRT have have also added an Integrex 200 SY-II machine, a Quick Turn Nexus 200-II lathe and a Variaxis 630X-II vertical machining centre to further add to HRT manufacturing capabilities.

New era begins for the Holden Racing Team

A new driver, matching new cars, a striking new livery and a major new sponsor mark the Holden Racing Team’s fresh approach to the 2008 V8 Supercar season.

HRT moved quickly at the conclusion of the 2007 season to execute a recruiting coup, luring just-crowned series champion Garth Tander to the factory squad to partner five-time series champion Mark Skaife to reunite the pair who drove together in the 2006 enduro races.

In 2008 the formidable duo will pilot matching new cars, with Skaife having debuted his car (#VE006) in the final round of the 2007 season at Phillip Island and Tander set to roll his (#VE007) out for Round 1, Adelaide’s Clipsal 500.

An eye-catching new colour scheme penned by Holden designer Peter Hughes means there will be no missing the HRT machines on the grid this year, a predominantly white livery set off with the team’s trademark lion’s head in day-glo red and finished with silver and black accents.

Completing the package is the addition of well-known transport logistics company Toll as naming rights sponsor, joining Holden and Mobil on the top line of a heavy-hitting list of corporate supporters.
