The machine block elements, attachments, and tooling systems are all in modular designs. Citizen provides the optimum machines answering customer's needs. Combination of the radial tool post under virtual X-axis and Y-axis control and the highly rigid opposed tool post achieves high-precision machining and high productivity. Implementation of fully open covers greatly increases operability and maintainability. The Citizen K-series CINCOMs have a rapid feed rate of 32 meters per min. RPM Acceleration and Deceleration of the main spindle is 1½ times faster than that of a conventional lathe. Fanuc FS31i processing The control on the K-series provides faster mathematical processing thus reducing the interpolation period half as that of the conventional machine. Processing improvements on the control ladder is three times faster as that of our conventional lathes. Longer machine operation The tool layout concept allows the K-series machines to use the virtual X/Y axis movement similar to that of the B-series. This configuration has proven to be responsible for greatly reducing thermal growth displacement. Slides and heads now have higher rigidity enabling heavier cuts to be performed at longer periods of time. The CINCOM K16 type VII can perform secondary machining operations with a standard X and Z axis on the back spindle thus allowing simultaneous machining capability. The K-series also has a centralized ball screw lubrication system and air seals on the back spindle. |
